Performance depends on the substrate, its surface condition, environmental conditions, and equipment settings — test under actual production conditions before full-scale use. Best all-round performance in the range: outstanding flexibility, outstanding solvent and chemical resistance, outstanding gloss and outstanding light fastness together. Where a job has several demanding requirements at once, AP is the grade that meets them together.
It is not the extreme in any single direction: FPR flexes further, ESR and NSR resist solvents further, FC cures faster, HV builds thicker. Where one property dominates the specification, the specialist is the better choice.
Two hardener types are available: Hardener No. 1 gives a short pot life of 1–2 hours at 20 °C, Hardener No. 2 an extended pot life of 6–8 hours at 20 °C. Both are added at 10–20 parts to 100 parts ink by weight.
