Business model

The structure a partner would be plugging into.

None of this has to be built. It exists, and it is already running AIC's own manufactured and imported ranges.

Capability

Seven things that are already in place.

Formulation and application laboratories

A formulation laboratory for developing and matching products, and an application laboratory for proving them on the customer's own substrate before a batch is made.

Technical sales engineers

Sales carried out by people who can work through a print or coating problem on the shop floor, not only take the order.

Field coverage from five locations

Customers are reached from five locations, so a technical call does not wait on a journey from a single head office.

Warehousing and stock-holding

Stock is held locally, so a partner's product is available from the shelf rather than only against an import order.

Import and clearing infrastructure

Established import, clearing and inland movement arrangements, so a consignment moves without the principal setting any of it up.

Registration and regulatory capability

The registration and regulatory work a chemical product needs before it may be sold is handled in-house.

Restricted-substance documentation

Restricted-substance documentation is maintained for customers whose own buyers audit against it.

Why it is set out this way

These are capabilities, stated plainly.

Nothing above claims a market position, a ranking or a share. A partner deciding whether to work with a company needs to know what that company can actually do, and can check each of these on a visit.

AIC's quality management and certification work is set out separately and in full, and a partner is welcome to read it before making contact.
